After a great start to the season in the Australian Grand Prix
Team McLaren Mercedes is gearing up to supplement that with an impressive showing at the Malaysian Grand Prix. After the season opener in Australia
the majority of the members of the team went back to Europe
including ACE driver Fernando Alonso. The team is now gearing up for the forthcoming Malaysian Grand Prix
which would happen on April 8. The next race will be the ninth time the Sepang circuit
the F1 Grand Prix. The hot state in the country
the members of the team on the impact of this factor on the host drivers. To prepare
that both Fernando and Lewis will be involved in outdoor education to help their bodies adjust to the tropical climate. Alonso will play tennis
while Hamilton will make running exercises in Thailand where the climate is similar to that in Malaysia. Where the race and the track is concerned
Fernando Alonso has this to say: “It was a solid start to the season in Australia. We knew that we were not as fast as the Ferraris so we had a good result in light of this. At the beginning of the season it is important to score points and finish on the podium as we continue our development. The nature of Sepang is very technical
and the car is really strong in every area. All the important corners tend to be a high-speed
so you need a perfect car balance and good aerodynamics. Everybody at Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is pushing really hard since the Australian Grand Prix to try to close the gap. I’ve always gone well in Sepang
winning there in 2005 and finishing second there last year. So
my memories of the circuit size
we will try hard to add to these this year! It is always a tough race physically
on the team as a whole and the cars
but we are prepared and after what seemed a long period after Melbourne
we all want to get back to racing. “It may be recalled that last year
Alonso
driving for Renault
qualified in seventh place at the Malaysian Grand Prix after a fueling error but he still manages ahead of most of the pack to obtain a finish.Meanwhile stage
rising racing star Lewis Hamilton has this to say: “From what I had seen the track before arriving for the test this week
I thought it looked like a great circuit and I was not disappointed. The layout means you can build a great rhythm section
with all angles blend together. It is also really wide
which I imagine will lead to an exciting race. The four days of testing this week were really useful on two points. We had a number of developments to the car we ran and will now be in the race
and I was able to learn the track prior to the event. I am now looking for competitive action here. As I said at the time
it was a dream start for me in Australia
but I am realistic that motorsport is unpredictable and things do not always go so well. We all worked hard to reduce the gap to Ferrari and I will do my best with Fernando and the team towards this in Malaysia. “Lewis Hamilton is the youngest F1 driver ever to an agreement on 13. The dynamic duo of Team Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is determined to once again a good performance at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The pair is expected to again demonstrate their driving skills on board their vehicles even more refined than powerful street-legal cars equipped with performance enhancing aftermarket parts like a Volant cold air intake system. Of the two drivers will again reach the podium still visible though. P>

Advanced Atv Riding for Advanced!
Have fun flying through the air with your ATVSo, have you seen the other ATV riders do it and you feel it’s time that you try that flying through the air stunt yourself too, but you are not sure how to to go it. You could try asking those who have tried before to teach you, but again, they can not have enough time to go sit down with you to guide you from A to Z on the skills of jumping your ATV. The theoretical part of learning may sound simple, but you should always practice perfect skills. You can sit and read this while at the same time wondering how their ATVs flying through the air almost effortlessly? You could ask many questions and that’s a good start to learn. If you learned how to jump an ATV, it certainly adds a lot of fun to your riding. However, many people do not understand the mechanics involved between themselves and their ATVs and it is usually the "not knowing" that some people are afraid – and it should. If you do not know something, you would usually do everything and learn about the first major thing about jumping your ATV in order to learn the basics of what it is done.Jumping an ATV is similar to learning to walk for the first time. If you were a child, you do not just suddenly get up and walk without first learning to walk. The same concept is jumping your ATV. You have to start at a smaller scale, and not yourself surpass by going to a supercross track or something like that. Here try are some helpful suggestions, which we at Jackel Motorsports, hope to get you started on the learn to jump your ATV and more importantly, to safely land Getting Started -! safety first before you drive to your first jump experience, please check and make sure your ATV is in good shape it. Check the tires, wheels, shocks and springs and make sure everything is tight. And remember, no ATV riding (or jump for that matter) is safe, without first on your safety gear – that is, your helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, chest protector, long sleeve shirts, pants and other protective gear you have. Since you are only going to start out learning to jump, there is no need for you to jump with a downward sloping landing. If you do not already know, you should never hit a jump at the meeting – your shock will compress and throw away like a slingshot, which is not a very nice thing to happen during a jump to. Start by selecting a smooth ramp-like rise and ensure the stability of the gas and slowly begin to attack positions – that way, nor do you stand or sit. Keep your arms bent, elbows out, as this will help to landing, and the impact of hitting the face of the jump to catch. If your front wheels face approach the jump, blipping the throttle position, the front end of the quad, so keep up that you will be able to make a safe landing. Once you are comfortable and confident with small jumps, you can slowly go to larger and more exciting jumps. The importance of landing well after your first few jumps, you should be able to measure your speed to make a perfect landing on the back of the jump. Once you are more comfortable with your jumping skills, you can start working on the landing on the front wheels first. This should be done with great care. If you land with the nose of your machine too far down, you are in for an ugly experience. One way to do, it will be downward pressure on the rear to the dynamics of the rear wheels to stop, so the front wheels down. Another method is to manually push the bars at the front-end to bring down. Depending on the jump, speed and position of your ATV, you can also combine both methods during your jump. In case the front end is too low and you think you can just go over the bars, do not give up – keep the throttle wide open for accelerating the dynamics of the rear tires which will cause the front end. As the saying goes – practice makes perfect, so our last word of advice is to practice and practice until you master the basic techniques to keep. Once you are confident with the small jumps, it’s time to "gear up" and take on the giants! P>

DTM Driver’s Test Drive for the Audi R10 TDI
Four Audi DTM (German Touring Car Masters) driver had the chance to test drive the popular and undisputed racing car that Audi had successfully achieved victories in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and 24 Hours of Le Mans. The four directors, including Mattias Ekström Lucas Luhr, Alexandre Premat and Mike Rockenfeller went aboard the Audi R10 TDI and the test drive to put the "High Tech Test Track" at Paul Ricard located in the southern part of France . The four drivers completed about 1,400 km (870 miles) of test to perform, which is part of the development test for diesel-powered Audi’s race car in preparation for the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans. Moreover, the test drive is also part of the preparation of the four directors at the 2007 DTM season which kicks off on April 22 at Hockenheim.According to Dr Wolfgang Ullrich, Head of Audi Motorsport: "This test was very positive, as all four riders were very well prepared for the occasion and kept on driving the R10. All four approached the task in the professional manner I expected. They are all directly reached an exceptionally sound and more than met my expectations. "The four directors were impressed by the strong performance of the Audi R10 TDI coming out of the monstrous all-aluminum 5.5-liter bi-turbo diesel V12 engine pumping out 650 hp (485 kW) and produces 811 lbs ft ( 1100 Nm) amount of peak torque. The engine is connected to a gearbox with quality VW transmission mount. Here’s what the DTM drivers said after the four-day test drive in South France.Mike Rockefeller (German): "The thing just takes off like a rocket in every gear. You get used all the time – but this engine is just great. It’s a great feeling every time you throttle "Alexandre Premat (French, with a Formula 1 experience):". It is incredible to see how professionally the Audi team. The R10 is just unbelievable: It’s a TDI, but the power of a Formula 1 car. I am very grateful that Audi gave me the chance to test this car. . And of course it was a nice birthday gift "Lucas Luhr (Germany, won the LM P2 class at the 2006 American Le Mans Series):" You notice that the car is 150 kg heavier, especially when cornering or braking rapidly changing direction. However, the R10 TDI is very driven by, reacts precisely to changes and is fun to drive – and of course the engine is disconcerting "Mattias Ekström (Sweden, won the 2004 DTM):". First I need to sleep on this experience for a few days and analyze the whole thing, because it was so great that every round I rode with adrenaline pulsing through my veins. I felt right at home in the car, but I need more experience to keep calm. The power, torque and downforce are phenomenal and obviously very different to the DTM car. I could only have taken in the slow corners with my A4. " P>

Maintaining your Atv
Maintain your ATV Many people take for granted that just because a large amounts for their ATV’s paid, it will as long as they want, but they do not realize that in view of the life of their ATV’s extended, it is important that their ATVs with the proper care to maintain. Or, in some cases, there are many who do not even know how to properly maintain their ATVs! At Jackel Motorsports, we strive to provide excellent after sales service to our customers and we believe in sharing with ATV riders on the importance and proper maintenance of their ATV’s all times.Keep cleanIt it is best that you wash your ATV after every ride and not wait until the dirt is too hard to be washed. As you dry it off, remember to check all fasteners and levers and always ride your machine for about one minute to dry out the pads. We also recommend that you apply WD40 to all the pivots, levers and exhaust pipe to rust and premature wear. To remove stubborn gasket remnants or rust from the exhaust pipe, try using Scotch-Brite (or something similar material) pads. Do not throw your old toothbrushes as they make wonderful small parts cleaners! Use the right toolsIt important that you use the right tools for different parts of your ATV. Keys or rattles your hands too good hammers. If you plan to make your own engine work to do, it is best that you invest in a high torque engine because you will surely take longer if the property is fitted with the correct torque to the fasteners.Recycling the following keyThe time you’re done using aerosols, not just throw away the plastic caps – they are so they make great containers for sorting parts for your ATV and small amounts of chemical for dipping and cleaning your machine. In this case, recycling is definitely the way to go brush your ATV to keep the mud stain awayIt is said that the wax used on plastic parts of your ATV will not just machine polished – it will keep the mud . Even if you have mud stains on the plastic, you can easily wipe with a damp cloth. Another way of cleaning the stains out if your machine has a white plastic for an SOS pad to use – but be warned, this does not work on red plastic as the path to leave the tires on a white streaks.Check Yes , this is a very important part of the ritual of maintaining your precious ATV. Before you run on your machine, check the tire pressure, as ATV tires are inherently leaky. Not many people can afford a Honda or a Yamaha ATV purchase. So what do you do when your desperate you own your own ATV? Many people who are looking for an affordable ATV would not mind buying a Chinese ATVs, though perhaps not many models on the market. It is no doubt that if you plan to purchase a Chinese ATV (or other brands of ATVs, for that matter), you’ll need some "homework" first. Research is the key to finding the most suitable and reliable Chinese ATV dealer. Although most Chinese ATV dealers are able to offer great bargains their ATVs, it is a fact that some dealers can not get enough support from their manufacturers to provide you with after sales service. It is therefore important that you contact your dealer if they are able to provide you with reliable after sales service. It is very frustrating to own an ATV and unable to drive because some parts are no longer available.Chinese ATVs are usually a lot cheaper compared to brand it, and although perhaps not as many models you may be able to find but they make a bargain for those with smaller budgets. While the hunt for Chinese ATV dealers, you should find out if the parts are available at all times – that is, if the parts in stock. Some dealers will claim that they have the parts, but in fact they do not stock the parts and will just place an order from the manufacturer when the need arises. It is better to buy your Chinese ATV from a dealer who keeps stock of ATV parts to someone who does not. You still would not want to wait weeks if not months, in part to connect your ATV to get working! Remember that Chinese ATVs may not be as sophisticated or have the same level of quality, but they do offer a huge savings for your wallet. If you do not plan to run your machine on a regular basis, the difference in quality is not a problem. If you have friends or relatives who bought a Chinese ATV in the past, you could ask them for recommendations or advice. Will certainly be able to pick up a tip or two from them about finding a reputable Chinese ATV dealer.Perhaps before you embark on your search for a Chinese ATV, you might want to consider visiting Jackel Motorsports’ website www.jackel. com – they are in the ATV market for many years and should be able to help you in your quest for your own (and affordable) ATV! Team Chevy Introduces New Racing Engine
Motorsport scene in the United States can be said as arguably one of the most competitive in the world. Season after season
racing teams are always more and more improvements to their vehicles. NASCAR sanctioned races are the most competitive races in the United States and teams are pursuing victories by improving their vehicles’ performance. Team Chevy is one of the teams going for the win every race they participate in. Recently
the team introduced the Impala SS race car in the NASCAR Nextel Cup. This development is now being followed by the announcement of a new engine that will be used on the Impala SS
which comes in the form of the Chevrolet RO7 engine. The engine will make its debut at the Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. The RO7 account is based on General Motors’ small-block V8 engines. It will be replacing the Small-Block/2nd Generation engine that team since 1998. The SB2 will completely replace the RO7 eventually. For now
the RO7 likely to improve the performance of the team cars to give. Mark Kent
director of GM Racing
their objectives of developing the new engine and the subsequent reaction after tests on the engine in this statement: “The GM Racing engine development team four major objectives in mind during the design had and the development of the Chevrolet R07 engine. Our goal was to create a motor that produces competitive power
delivers excellent reliability
enhances safety and reduces costs for Chevrolet teams. Based on the feedback we have received from Chevy teams after extensive dynamometer and track testing
I think we achieved our objectives. “The RO7 is the first engine that GM built solely for the purpose of NASCAR racing. According to Pat Suhy
GM Racing Group Manager for the oval track
“The Chevrolet R07 is GM Racing’s first purpose-built NASCAR racing engine. NASCAR parameters for the new generation engines offer a range of choices on key dimensions and design features. Our task was to take critical decisions and carefully balance the tradeoffs that would enable the Chevrolet R07 to Chevy’s success in NASCAR to go. In the long term
the results show whether we made the right choices. “The main parts for the RO7 engine as the cylinder block
cylinder head and manifold came from GM Racing. Other parts supplied by GM Racing are the water pump
rocker covers and front cover. Other components such as the Chevy fenders by different manufacturers. Engine parts are also supplied by several independent parts manufacturers. Meanwhile
Jim Covey
NASCAR engine development manager for GM Racing
has this to say how GM was able to get the latest driver of the Impala SS to “New manufacturers coming into NASCAR pushed the envelope with engines that had no ties to producing power plants
while GM engines were based on the architecture of the first small-block V NASCAR Nextel Cup Series director John Darby addressed this problem by developing a list of parameters that define the envelope for all manufacturers
thereby Chevrolet an opportunity to develop the R07 engine. Now with the introduction of the Chevrolet R07
Chevy teams have an optimized engine design that advances in racing technology made over the past 50 years reflects. “Major differences between the SB2 and RO7 include the increased cylinder bore centers RO7 that coolant flow to keep the engine at normal operating temperature increases. Another improvement of RO7 the SB2 is the time needed to assemble the engines. The RO7′s cast camshaft tunnel
integral piston squirter galleries
and overhead oil feed galleries makes it faster to assemble than its predecessor. As far as safety is concerned
the designers of the new engine moved the fuel pump external oil and coolant eliminates lines.Team Chevy is no doubt rely on the combination of the Impala SS and the new RO7 engine achieve more wins. According to Mark Kent: “The introduction of the Chevrolet R07 this weekend marks the beginning of a new era for the GM small-block V-8 en
gine. The Chevrolet R07 is the heir to the winning tradition of GM production-based engines that have powered Chevy to more than 600 victories in NASCAR Cup competition. As we look to the future
we are confident that the Chevrolet R07 engine and the Impala SS race car will Team Chevy’s winning ways going in NASCAR. “ P>

New Chevrolet R07 to be tested at Texas Motors Speedway
Great changes take place over NASCAR and for the coming weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway another transformation will occur. While the Nextel Cup drivers are driving their old familiar cars which they drive for years after the first two races in the car of tomorrow, the rest of the Chevrolet entries are powered by a new Chevrolet engine.Chevrolet maker of quality system design, developing an engine for nine years and for the first time will make his racing debut in Samsung 500. "This engine now the R07 actually started out as R99 because we ran the first time in 1999 called," said Mark Cronquist, chief engine builder for Joe Gibbs Racing. He added, "There was an R03. There was an R05 that never got off of the chalkboard, basically. We had it all designed, but never made. Then there is this one, R07. So really, this R07 has been worked by GM teams since 1998. I have notes in my office from the first time we talked about this engine. It was January 1998. "The process was quite frustrating, but in the end it was worth waiting, and Cronquist said," the awesome thing is that if you look at R09 and R07, they do not even resemble each other, so I’m glad NASCAR never approved . It had some updates, but every time NASCAR does not approve, we went back and worked harder at everything changed things up. "The weekend is expected that six teams will be the new engine. Gibbs Racing will be a R07 position in the cars of Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin and JJ Yeley Hendrick Motorsports’ Casey Mears and Kyle Busch, and Scott Wimmer, driving the fourth Richard Childress Racing entry.General Motors the world’s largest automaker and distributor of Chevrolet exhaust is hoping the engine ready for the upcoming race this season, but unfortunately a few technical difficulties slowed the progress of the project. Cronquist is very excited to get the new engine into competition. He said: "With an engine that we have walked the block a portion of it was actually designed in 1955. We have a few changes, but it would still bolt into a 1955 Chevy Bel Air. The new block has a lot more technique. Are more updated block than what we ever had. "When asked if the new engine delivers more power and torque or is more economical, Cronquist said," It is just across. We’re finally more even with what Dodge and Toyota. The kind of got us back on the same playing field, back in what is considered NASCAR box. We were outside of the box, even under the box. We had disadvantages and they finally let us get the same benefits that other manufacturers had over us. I do not think we really have gotten into much of a part of the show. Much of this is that the store just needs a lot less time to work on the parts and pieces. There’s a lot of things in this block has already been cast in the block that we have used ourselves and to try to fit into our blocks. That took much time and effort to do so. When the show comes, it will be because we’re a lot more time in our shop to work on having. "Cronquist further added:" Much of this is that the shop just needs a lot less time to work on the parts and pieces. There’s a lot of things in this block has already been cast in the block that we have used ourselves and to try to fit into our blocks. That took much time and effort to do so. When the show comes, it will be because we’re a lot more time in our shop to work on having. "6The of 5 Chevrolet Chevrolet team has gotten to a good start this year in Cup won five of six races. The reigning champion Jimmie Johnson won three of five races while Hendrick with teammates Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and RCR have won the other two for GM. Matt Kenneth’s victory at California Speedway in a Ford is the only blemish on the record of Chevrolet for this season.Out the eight Chevy drivers currently in the top 10 in Cup points, have won two in Texas. Jeff Burton won the inaugural Cup race in Fort Worth in 1997, but he was a driver of Ford at that time. Stewart won on the 1.5 miles Texas track last fall. The different drivers winning each of the 12 Cup races at Texas only two others are in Chevrolets namely Terry Labonte who won in 1999 and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who won in 2000. P>
